Project management software – Asana
Description:
Free task management software in both web and mobile versions. The free version is mainly limited by allowing the team of up to 15 people (plus it’s limiting some additional but not essential features). In addition, you get an unlimited number of projects and tasks.
A big plus is the possibility to upload large attachments (100 MB). Asana also has a milestone feature in the premium package. They allow you to name specific tasks as milestones.
This will make it simpler to track the progress of the project. Milestones can be seen directly on the timeline. Asana also has a very powerful reporting feature.
Thanks to advanced reporting you can choose and assign elements of the tasks that interest you to the taskbar, such as: tasks that you commissioned, a list of tasks that need to be done by the end of the week, tasks that have been completed and are waiting for your verification. It is an ideal solution for managing creative tasks where several people from different industries must work together.

Which tools for collaboration should you choose?
If I had to recommend some free task management software, depending on what you do for a living, I would suggest starting with these two:
- Trello – seems to be made for small, local businesses. This app is ideal for businesses where several people work together. Where common tasks are simple, uncomplicated, and the number of tasks is… reasonable. Very often it is the first choice of people who start their adventure with similar solutions. Trello resembles a giant corkboard. It’s fabulously easy to use and will be perfect in helping you learn how to organize and manage more complex and extensive teams.
- Asana – definitely my favorite program. I fell in love with it. It’s a real project multi-tool – especially when several people need to work together on a single task. Perfect for the creative industry. The perfect combination of simplicity, eye pleasing design, a touch of craziness (check out the flying rhinos)! What I love about it is the option to tag tasks and subtasks as well as features and the interface. The only thing I would criticize are the unclear email notifications. But this is a microscopic con. If you are looking for a smart organizer for IT, advertising, marketing, blogosphere topics – Asana is the best choice!
